Remember Anti-Earth Hour Hour Tonight!

J.J. Jackson | March 28, 2009

On March 20th I posted to my facebook profile a note that I was busy collecting all sorts of appliances and lights just to plug them in during “Earth Hour” tonight. Well, looks like many other people have either gotten on board or had the same idea because for the past couple days I have been hearing a lot of folks talking about making sure every light they have is on during the hour envirotards have set aside to try and save the Earth.

Yes, the envirotards actually think that the Earth is in danger from Global Warming because they think that a couple hundred scientists without any brains in their heads, lots of money from anti-capitalist groups and groups promoting alternative energies which they are developing and even Al Gore think that it is! Of course the facts, as we all know, are that the Earth has been cooling over the past couple years despite CO2 emissions and the consensus is that it is not man’s activities that lead to the recent warming trend.

But that still hasn’t stopped them and companies like Esurance (who play to the lowest common denominator in society to score some easy customers) from promoting everyone turning off their lights for one hour. The side effects of which will be negligible on the environment! But if you want to look at some real impact from this little stunt, consider that lower demand for electricity means less demand for people to make the energy which effects everyone from members of the UMWA (i.e. miners) to electricians.

So to show solidarity with the workers who the environtards want to harm but giving them less work, please commit to join me in using as much power as we can to offset the stupidity that is being preached!
