Patrick Buchanan – Socialism Is Here

Years ago, I made a statement on an old message board that I used to frequent that, “Socialism isn’t at the door. It has come in, wiped its shoes, gotten a beer out of the fridge, put its feet up and is currently reaching for the remote control.” Some of the more moderate members of that conservative site got angry with me for being so bold as to point out how we were even then essentially a socialist democracy with smatterings of liberty here and there.

I wonder if they have gotten a little wiser since then?

Well, it is nice to hear Patrick Buchanan echoing this sentiment in his latest article at WorldNetDaily.com saying, “We are not ‘headed down the road to socialism.’ We are there.” Welcome to the party Pat!
