Let me tell you who Jesus is

How important is it to know and understand the revelation of the oneness of the godhead?
What was the number one reason Jesus was killed and why is important to know the oneness of the godhead?
John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
John 8:27 they understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
He was killed because He claimed to be equal with God or put another way He is God, hence the oneness of the Godhead.
Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, whom do men say that I the Son of man am? Matthew 16:16-20 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God or God in the flesh. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock (foundational knowledge) I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ, which is again saying he was God in the flesh. 2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Why did Jews reject Jesus as Son of God?
First of all they knew there was only one God and knew the Old Testament prophecies that God would wrap a robe of flesh around his spirit and dwell among men as the Son of God. Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.
The son ship of God denotes the flesh of God because God as an omnipresent spirit meaning everywhere did not put a covering of flesh around his whole spirit. While God walked as man in Jerusalem he still filled all space. He was in Bethlehem as well and everywhere else at the same time as he was in Jerusalem but as spirit. Ephesians 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him. Colossians 2:9 for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Ephesians 3:9 and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: They rejected Jesus because they were looking for a savior that would come to deliver them from being overthrown and dispersed by the Romans. In other words, they misinterpreted the first coming of Jesus with the second coming of Jesus as is recorded in the book of Samuel.
Equality with God
John 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Isaiah 48:11 for mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? And I will not give my glory unto another. John 17:5 and now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Reason for this
Mark 13:21-22 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
John 1:1-3 in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:14-15 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. Matthew 1:23 behold a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Exodus 3:14 and God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, before Abraham was, I am.
Penalty imposed by the world for having this knowledge of who Jesus is
Jesus said, Take up your cross and follow me and 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. God’s will is for us to take up our cross and follow Him; to do His will while we are able no matter what roadblocks are placed in our path but for everything we do it must begin with the foundational knowledge of who he is to be validated or Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Picking up that cross every day of our lives means we will be associating ourselves with Jesus of Nazareth the one and only true God and savior. While living here on earth, Jesus was despised and hated by many and finally put to death for His crime of proclaiming to be equal to God. He was crucified for loving His followers and even for loving those who hated Him. Those who hated Him then are no different than those who hate Him today, and that same hatred for Jesus is put upon all who follow Him. John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. Romans 12:1-3 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
What Awaits the Child of God if God Tarries His Coming
There can be no doubt about it when persecution comes fully unwound against the child of God it will be over that name that is above every name and all who cling to the knowledge that Jesus is God will be severely persecuted even by those who claim to be Christians themselves that never got passed the Trinitarian philosophy or there being three separate and distinct beings in heaven. John 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. Matthew 24:9 then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
If you are not rooted and grounded in the knowledge of who Jesus is you will not be able to stand against this persecution. This has to be so engrained in the conscious of the child of God there can be no doubt whatsoever. Request a bible study and pray and fast if necessary for God to reveal this truth unto you because Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Matthew 22:14 for many are called, but few are chosen. Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
If the world hates you because they hate Jesus Christ, then you are in excellent company, and you’ve done what Jesus told you to do, you’ve taken up your cross and followed Him. On the other hand if the world loves you, you must be of the world and not of Christ. Where’s your cross?
