How important is it to know and understand the revelation of the oneness of the godhead?
One’s salvation depends upon it as the following scripture plainly states but with this importance it is also the most controversial subject in Christianity. Why is it that God made it this way? He is the author of the bible and could have eliminated the confusion couldn’t he have? The answer of course is no he couldn’t have because of the essentiality of understanding the difference in the two words that are critical to understanding the Godhead and that is “spirit and flesh” and their relation to one another. When God became man or wrapped a robe of flesh around his spirit we learn repeatedly that He didn’t rely on his human abilities to get things spiritual done in the flesh and that is the way it is for us as well. Why because the flesh is enmity with God (spirit). He said I can do nothing of myself it is the Father that doeth the works. This example was set for us who followed to realize it is our responsibility to believe that he is or in him and from there to understand it is the faith of God not our own faith that makes things happen in the spiritual and natural ream. He is after all our Father and we are to depend on our heavenly Father. He loves us so much he wants a personal relationship with each of us and by setting things up the way He has this makes it the only way we are going to have that relationship.
God made this subject difficult because He knows many are called but few will be chosen and He knows this knowledge is the foundation of our walk with Him. Jesus said to you it is given to know and no one knows the Son but the Father and no one knows the Father but the Son and to whom he will reveal him. This one scripture should be enough for all to realize this truth comes only by revelation to those He considers his children. I can expound to you this knowledge every day for years but I can also tell you the ferocity of the onslaught of Satan to discourage this understanding using the scripture in a distorted but masterful way, so even though I provide you with the basis for gaining this understanding it is something you must seek for yourself in order for you to become so rooted and grounded in this knowledge nothing can move you away from it. When studying the Godhead two words I have already mentioned are critical to keep in mind and that is “spirit and flesh”. So remember in every single instance where there is a question about the Godhead and no matter how the scripture makes it sound to the carnal mind, understanding becomes a reality when one inserts these two words. Satan knows full well the human being that obtains this knowledge to the point of being rooted and grounded will be as those before them that couldn’t be moved by his onslaughts because he knows of the special relationship that has come open between God and man with this knowledge. This knowledge leads to the deeper understanding of God and his righteousness. In other words, one who obtains this knowledge is off the milk and into the meat.
