Senator Graham Needs To Be Impeached

J.J. Jackson | February 21, 2009

Senator Lindsay Graham fancies himself a conservative. At times he even puts on a good disguise and plays the role well. But at heart he is just a blithering liberal. I can reinforce that opinion once again as Mr. Graham has said that he would not necessarily be against an unconstitutional nationalization of banks:

Feb. 15 (Bloomberg) — Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who sits on the Senate Budget Committee, said he wouldn’t reject the idea of nationalizing U.S. banks.

“I’m very much afraid that any program to salvage the banks is going to require the government,” the South Carolina senator said today in an interview on ABC’s “This Week” program. “I would not take off the idea of the nationalizing the banks.”

I’m “very much afraid” that you are not smart enough to sit in such prestigious role in our government Mr. Graham!

Impeachment comes about for high crimes. Can there be any higher crime than violating the Constitution and suggesting acting beyond the contract between the citizens and the government? No.

The Republican Party will never be a viable party as long as members talk like this. They might as well just merge with the Democrats if they are going to sound like Democrats.
