Obama Calls Wall Street Bonuses “Shameful.” No Word On “Bonuses” Congress Trying To Give Out

Liberals like President Obama really don’t have any idea how idiotic they sound then they curse one group for doing something but do essentially the same things themselves. For example, President Obama recently commented on what he thought about Wall Street execs getting bonuses despite some of the companies and their performance in 2009.

Obama said:

WASHINGTON — President Obama branded Wall Street bankers “shameful” on Thursday for giving themselves nearly $20 billion in bonuses as the economy was deteriorating and the government was spending billions to bail out some of the nation’s most prominent financial institutions.

“There will be time for them to make profits, and there will be time for them to get bonuses,” Mr. Obama said during an appearance in the Oval Office with Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner. “Now’s not that time. And that’s a message that I intend to send directly to them, I expect Secretary Geithner to send to them.”

Obama can comment on this all he wants. He is, after all, still a citizen (although his natural born citizen status is still a matter for debate) of these United States. What causes people to pause however is that he has a long history of rhetoric that makes you wonder if he will go beyond commenting on events and seek to do something that he does not have the power to do about these events.

But let’s look at something else that is going on in the country today. You have Congress trying to ram through a pork bill which, if you want to be honest, is like a million little “bonuses” for all sorts of different groups. It is also money they did not earn.

So while Obama is out there decrying Wall Street I wonder why he is not decrying his comrades in Congress. Oh, that is right! Silly me! Government is the only thing that can get us out of this mess! Right Mr. Obama? You did say that right? So “bonuses” for all sorts of liberal pet projects are ok I guess!
