Joe, who can best be described as a raving liberal moonbat, goes off on me writing:
YOU THINK YOU ARE MAINSTREM! YOU ARE MOT MAINSTREAM! HO NONE AGREES WITH YOU! YOU ARE ALL ALONE AND I HOPE YOU DIE ALONE WITH ALL YOUR STUPID LITTLE FANTAXIES! YOU THINK PEOPLE LIKE YOU BUT EVERYONE KNOWS HOW EVIL YOU CONSERVATIVES ARE AND WILL NOT LET YOU OPPRESS THEM!
HA! HA! HA! AH!
Perhaps Joe’s therapist told him to write letters to people that upset him. I don’t know. But one thing I do know is that every time I look at opinion polls about actual topics I am often in the majority or at least in the plurality. So I have decided to begin the Mainstream Project to prove to people like Joe that he is certainly incorrect.
Let’s kick the project off today with a look at some things Rasmussen has recently polled on.
45% of Americans oppose mortgage help for troubled homeowners. 38% disagree. 18% are unsure.
- My opinion: I am opposed to this action. I am in the plurality.
64% of Americans opposes more government loans to GM and Chrysler. 24% support more loans and 11% are unsure.
- My opinion: I am opposed to more government loans to the auto manufacturers. I am in the majority.
28% of Americans think America is headed in the right direction. 64% disagree.
- My opinion: America is on the wrong track. I am in the majority.
47% of Americans oppose the “Fairness Doctrine.” 38% support it. 15% are not sure.
- My opinion: I am opposed to government control of the press. I am in the majority.
75% of Americans oppose the nationalization of the banks. 9% think it is swell idea. 16% are not sure.
- My opinion: I am opposed to bank nationalization. I am in the majority.
48% say the doctor that helped Nadya Suleman should be punished. 31% disagree. 21% are not sure.
- My opinion: I think Nadya belongs in debtors prison to help pay back the ungodly fees she is racking up. I disagree that the doctor should be culpable. I am in the minority.
38% of Americans think that the “Stimulus” Plan passed by Congress will help the economy. 29% believe it will not help. 24% believe it will have little impact.
- My opinion: I believe that it will not help. I am not in the majority, but neither is anyone else on this issue.
62% say America and her allies are winning the war on terror. 14% believe the terrorists are winning and 18% said neither side was winning.
- My opinion: I believe America is winning. I am in the majority.
54% of Americans say Congress is doing a poor job. 12% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job.
- My opinion: Not only to I believe Congress is doing a poor job, but I document why that is on a weekly (if not daily) basis. Once again, I am in the majority.
28% of Americans think Pit Bulls should be banned. 57% disagree while 16% cannot decide.
-My opinion: I disagree. There I am in the majority again.
I will try to keep this little project going and update the list as new polls come out from various sources. But here are the totals so far.
In the majority: 7
In the plurality: 1
In the minority: 2
That’s 70% of the time in the majority and 80% in the plurality or better so far!
Not “mainstream” huh?
