Is Today The Day The Can’t Wait A Couple Days To Read It Stimulus Is Signed?

J.J. Jackson | February 17, 2009

We were told that the stimulus bill which was blasted through Congress was so important that it could not even be read! We were told that it had to be voted on immediately! Yet despite the doom and gloom that without this important bill being made law immediately (all lies by the way) and the threat of economic collapse without action, Obama quickly skirted out of town for three days without even signing it.

After pushing Congress for weeks to hurry up and pass the massive $787 billion stimulus bill, President Obama promptly took off for a three-day holiday getaway.

Obama arrived at his home in Chicago on Friday, and treated wife Michelle to a Valentine’s Day dinner downtown last night. The couple was spotted leaving upscale Table Fifty-Two, which specializes in Southern cuisine, with the first lady toting what appeared to be a doggie bag.

It is now one minute into Tuesday and the bill we are told would save us all and that had to be passed immediately still has not been signed.

This leads me to one of two conclusions.

First, that the passage of the bill and it’s being signed into law really wasn’t that important. We are still here and breathing after all.

Second, that President Obama doesn’t take his role as President and the American economy as seriously as he does taking a few days off to spend with his wife. Something he could have done after signing the bill after all.

Considering neither of those two conclusions paint President Obama as even remotely competent enough to be our Commander In Chief, someone want to tell me why we elected him again?

Oh, that’s right, silly me, it was “historic” to do so!
