Toyota has one down time due to a bad economy. They have a proven trackrecord of profitability thought. The US auto makers have been bleeding red ink for years because of bad and down right idiotic economic practices. Huge difference between the two but in your rush to try to make a point that is tenuous at best, you ignore basic facts.
