Bacon bits recalled for Listeria

Carolyn Hileman - The Voice | January 6, 2009

The Wisconsin firm Patrick Cudahy is recalling 3,500 pounds of bacon bits produced under the label of Applewood Smoked Precooked Bacon Toppings for possible Listeria. You might not have purchased one of the ten pound cases that are affected, but since the shipments went to restaurants and institutions in California, Colorado, Florida, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. So beware of salad bars and stuffed baked potatoes.
