Agree To Disagree
Ok everyone Set the Brakes , Pause , Time Out… Grab a beverage and Free your “emotions” and “feelings” for a moment ! Free yourself of your preconceived biases be they Liberal or Conservative .
Ask yourself deep down in your deepest being , what is it that makes you proud to be a American ?
What is it that above all else that you might hold the most dearly when you ponder the thought of being a American? Is it your Freedoms , is it your right to agree or disagree with what someone else might say ? Is it the fact that you do not have to go along with the group thought mentality , is it the fact that the “State” does not force upon you their vision of what is and what should be where you have the right once again to make the decisions on your own accord.
Can it be the fact that you have the choice to view , or read , or listen to whatever you so choose and that the variety of differing opinions are aloud to be expressed . Do you value the fact that the “State” does not impose Censorship of the many differing views and opinions that so many individuals hold. Do you value the fact that you do not have to worry if the person you might be speaking with around the Break room Round table will be the person that might turn you in to the “State” , or worry about speaking your mind freely within your own home with out the fear of being turned in to the “State”.
Think about all the differing opinions and points of view you witness on the internet , no one is the same , no one holds what you deep down inside hold as your personal conviction. You are able to take what you may from any given perspective that you come across and form your own opinion. You are not Forced to accept any of the material that you come across , the “State” does not force you to follow a certain mindset through this median . But we do see those that would Like for the “State” to censor certain aspects of the free flow of information and entertainment. We see those that would like for the “State” to ban certain medians on the radio airwaves , be they Liberal or Conservative under a free society these views and opinions have the right to be expressed . We might disagree with them and some might even agree with them , it is up to each individual to make the choice to participate in the successes or demise of them .
It is not the “States” Right under the Constitution to decide that a certain level of Censorship needs to exist if the free exchange of opinions and views are being expressed , at least not in a Free society !
Censorship at it’s core is the driving force to manipulate and to subjugate a society , the founding fathers of this country realized this fact and put in the Bill Of Rights this safe guard so that the Republic can remain a Free Society. Many leaders throughout history looked to this form of control to place the yoke of oppression on the subjects that they ruled over. In many of these nations throughout history we witnessed just how damaging this practice resulted in when the population lost their voice their will to express their opposition to any given policy or view. In many of these countries the population was forced to look over their shoulder and to question anything that they might say or express due to the fear that the “State” will come along and take their independence and freedom away.
So once again we need to ask ourselves even though we might not always agree and at times disagree do you want to take the Freedom , the Right , the Inalienable Difference that sets this country apart from many countries around the world past and present . Do you honestly want to give up your freedom also because that is exactly what you are asking for , you might not realize this at the moment but when you expand out and look at all that can be imposed with just the smallest foot in the door you can see that this is exactly the vehicle to be used to impose absolute totalitarian rule upon the masses , to in essence move us to a new order.
So set aside your “Feelings” and “ Emotions” for a moment and look at the bigger picture , look around you when you are having a discussion at the break room round table can the person next to you be the one that turns you in if you are of a differing opinion than the one that the “State” wants you to have ? It is not happening now but who is to say that that scenario can never play out especially if you so willingly want to see the “Change” that can play out if you do not support and defend those rights that our Founding Fathers so looked to when they were writing the Bill of Rights.
