Election Of Obama Stimulates Economy

But not in a way he probably wants. The man who has an anti-second amendment record a mile long who will ascend to the presidency has sent concerned citizens scrambling to buy guns.

GRAND RAPIDS — The scene Saturday was a retailer’s dream: Wall-to-wall customers, skyrocketing sales. But the approaching holiday season didn’t spark this rush. Barack Obama did.
His election triggered concerns by gun enthusiasts that his administration would push restrictions on firearms. Gun stores across the country noted increased business.

“It really picked up Monday, and it’s gone crazy since election day,” said Doug VanderWoude, co-owner of Silver Bullet Firearms Indoor Range and Training Center in Wyoming.

On Saturday, he sold 39 guns, mostly handguns and sport-utility rifles. The previous Saturday, he sold nine.

The local trend reflects what is happening around the country.

Sales of handguns, rifles and ammunition have surged in the last week, according to gun store owners around the nation, who describe a wave of buyers concerned that an Obama administration will curtail their right to bear arms.

“Law-abiding citizens don’t like it when people are trying to take your guns,” VanderWoude said.

Liberals claim that Obama does not want to infringe on the rights of people to keep and bear arms but we must remember that this is a man who praised the DC gun ban which made owning a firearm for self defense possible, but its actual use in self defense almost impossible. He has also spoke in favor of making taxes on ammunition so high that it would cost a pretty penny to load your guns. Of course if you believe anything a liberal says you are nuts.
