Will Liberals Support Candidate Of The Troops?
J.J. Jackson | October 22, 2008
Liberals say the “support the troops” but do they? November 4th will be a day they can put their money where their mouth is by actually voting for the candidate the troops support which just so happens to be John McCain:
A poll by the Military Times newspaper group suggests that there is overwhelming support for John McCain among U.S. troops in every branch of the armed forces by a nearly 3-1 margin.
According to the poll, 68 percent of active-duty and retired servicemen and women support McCain, while 23 percent support Barack Obama. The numbers are nearly identical among officers and enlisted troops.
Why? Perhaps because they trust McCain more to handle the current wars:
U.S. troops also said in the poll that they prefer McCain to handle the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan — 74 percent said McCain would perform better, while just 19 percent said Obama would.
Will the left step up to the plate and REALLY support the troops on Election Day? Of course not! How silly of you to even think that there is anything actually behind their claims of supporting the troops! Such rhetoric is just thrown out there to make them sound less radical than they really are.
Instead on November 4th legions of loyal liberals who claim to support the troops will vote for Barack Obama. Why? Because they believe they are smarter than those men and women serving our country voluntarily. And they will convince themselves that somehow, in some convoluted way, that by voting for the candidate the troops reject is actually supporting those poor, ignorant, misguided fools who have not yet figured out that George Bush is Hitler and that they are just fighting a war for oil in between killing women and children for fun.
