America in prophecy

Dear Mr. Chambers,
I read your article in Prophecy Update and I noticed you said the War of Gog and Magog will also open the way for the Antichrist to rebuild Babylon and to become the dominant force in the ancient Eastern leg of the Roman Empire. Who do you think is rebuilding Babylon even as I speak? Who got rid of Sadam? Who is building an embassy large enough in the old Babylon city area that will takes thousands of people to man not to mention rebuilding the whole country? Yep, that’s right its the U.S.A. so you might want to consider the U.S. as the head of the revived Roman Empire and shun this idea that America is not in prophecy. Because considering no other nation in the history of the world has had the dynamic affect America has had on the world it is ridiculous to say America is not in prophecy.
See Jeremiah 50,51, Isaiah 18:1,2, for a quick study and notice the passages that eliminates the old Babylon, Asia, Africa, Europe, Russia and even the Europe of today because the scripture says it is across the sea from Israel. Below are only a few examples of things that can only apply to America because it just doesn’t fit any other nation today. If you would like more information on this study contact me.
This nation is the youngest among the great world powers for she is the “hindermost of the nations” or the last to become internationally prominent (see Jeremiah 50:12). America celebrated its bicentennial July 4th, 1976. However, two hundred years of history make our country only a teenager among the nations of the earth, comparatively speaking.
4. This country is an end-time nation, for it exists when Israel is back in her land. Jeremiah 50:19 declare, I will bring Israel again to his habitation. This began in 1948 when the Jews of the world returned to their homeland, hoisted their flag the six-pointed Star of David and named the country Israel. So much for replacement theology! What tremendous proof that God had an end time Babylon in mind when Jeremiah wrote the prophecies 25 centuries ago.
Isaiah predicts judgment upon the land whose emblem contains “outstretched wings (eagle),” the land located beyond the seas of Israel with large land areas completely measured, and whose waters are polluted. In fact, he opens the chapter with a “woe,” and “woe” which is always associated with judgment.
This nation has the insignia of wings, similar to our national emblem, the bald eagle, with extended wings. People in other parts of the world recognize the symbol of America.
This nation is a land beyond the sea. Israel is always the focal point in Bible prophecy. So the message of warning is directed to a far country beyond Ethiopia and across the sea from Israel. This designation eliminates Europe, Asia, and Africa. Instead it is directed to a nation with outstretched wings across the sea from Israel and America qualifies.
It is a nation of mingled people (see Jeremiah 50:37). America has intermingled and interracial inhabitants and is referred to as the “melting pot of the world”.
This nation’s wealth plagues the nations of earth to the point of insane jealousy, for Jeremiah 51:7 declares, Babylon hath been a golden cup in the Lord’s hand…therefore the nations are mad. The whole world’s economy is dependent on what America does.
Babylon will exist when Israel is back in its land. America is only 200 years old, and the newborn babe Israel is a child. The new land of Israel was established in 1948, meaning that the prophecies could only coexist since that hour. Who but America can fulfill the requirements mentioned to this point and coexist with Israel?
This is a nation whose “mother shall be sore confounded” (see Jeremiah 50:12), coexisting with “mother” at the hour of its decline. Ancient Babylon does not fit the bill since a father Nimrod founded it. However, America’s mother is England who presently is confounded, confused, and near collapse, financially. This nation no longer is considered a superpower and soon mother and daughter shall both be challenged.
John, in the Book of Revelation, also gives us insight into modem Babylon. Chapter 17 deals with religious Babylon located upon the seven hills of Rome (see verse 9), while chapter 18 deals with political Babylon, which probably is the United States. What does John depict?
1. “A nation through whom the merchants of the earth [have] waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies [or luxuries] (Revelation 18:3).” Take a look at the headlines, for in them you will find other countries economical success is based on what we do. Check out this headline for example: CNN April 19, 2001, Markets throughout Asia charged higher on Thursday, bolstered by a surprise rate cut by the U.S. Federal Reserve.
2. A nation “laden with sins” (see verse 5).
A nation, “which hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously” (verse 7). That’s us! We spend 173 billion dollars annually for food, alcohol, tobacco, recreation, and gambling.
Add to that the fact that America’s beginning began with people from the old Roman Empire or Europe. Have you considered that? And then throw in the fact that it is America that is forcing Israel to give up the land God gave them forever in the name of peace and wella you have the makings of the anti-Christ in the workings. This horn Daniel spoke of that will rise up and last for a little while is America, which God also said was evil from its beginning. I know people like to say, “Man it is America that took the gospel to the whole world”. Yep, but in every shape, form, and fashion imaginable. Is God’s word diverse from itself or does God allow any interpretation to be made with his approval? What America did was the bidding of Satan and proselytizes the world with confusion. Let’s face it God has one way to gain salvation and to live a Christian life and doesn’t allow for spinoffs or whatever turns you on type of religion that we have in America today. It is no wonder people don’t go to church anymore or church attendance is way down like all of Europe with all the confusion about what is right and what is wrong. Now you know why the apostle prophesied about the end time and said there will be a falling away meaning people will quit church and living for God. Ironically, the church’s real growth is taking place in China and Middle-east.
