The Post Alan Colmes Doesn’t Want You To See
J.J. Jackson* | September 3, 2008
The internet is a truly amazing thing! Rarely is anything published on it, and then quickly deleted out of embarrassment, ever forgotten.
Lots of people have been asking me for the actual post from Alan Colmes where he promoted and perpetuated stupid statements on Sarah Palin and her actions in giving birth to her latest child because they wanted to see it for themselves. A lot of leftists have also been flooding my email box claiming that Mr. Huston, who has been following this story here, is a “liar” because the link he provided to the original post is no longer valid. Thus they claim it never existed and Colmes never said such things in typical moonbat style. But the reason that the link is no longer valid because Colmes, the coward that he is, removed the post from his site!
But thanks to Google’s caching function, the page will live on! I have downloaded a copy of the page, as kept in Google’s cache, and made it available here for you to read. I am doing this because Mr. Colmes, the scum that he is, removed the post because he claimed the responses were to vitriolic and epithet riddled to remain. What is the truth? Well, read for yourself. What actually happened was that there were a lot of pissed off people taking issue with Alan’s obvious ignorance and attempt to tar Sarah Palin as a bad mother because they need something, anything, against her.
Read the responses as they have been preserved. And to Alan Colmes, remember, the internet is very unforgiving!
To sum it up, here is what Colmes tried to do. He tried to further the notion that Sarah Palin was a bad mother because of the way she acted after her water broke while in Texas. Colmes links to another moonbat who is so worried about Palin being on the republican ticket that they felt like playing doctor and making crap up out of thin air about pregnant women, water breaking, etc. and who tried to pretend that it was odd for Palin not to have headed “to a hospital or even leave the conference”.
Once again a liberal who knows nothing of which they speak. Colmes even quoted another idiot, but this one with a degree (shutter at that thought) named Laurie Gregg who apparently practices some bizarre form of medicine outside of the norm:
Still, a Sacramento, Calif., obstetrician who is active in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, said when a pregnant woman’s water breaks, she should go right to the hospital because of the risk of infection. That’s true even if the amniotic fluid simply leaks out, said Dr. Laurie Gregg.
I’m just a year removed from the birth of my daughter Charlotte and I can tell you that claims like “as soon as a woman’s water breaks they should be placed in the hospital” are perposterous! And if this doctor is claiming that then I think she needs to be investigated by the medical association in her state!
In fact, we went through classes where one of the sessions talked specifically about how, many times, after a woman’s water breaks if they are not having contractions and actively in labor there is no need for them to go to the hospital at all! One of the sessions even showed a video with a woman who went for a walk (I think it was 5 miles) after he water broke and not once did the health professions tell us this was wrong.
I remember this specificially because my wife groaned and said something along the lines of, “I ain’t walking no five miles once my water breaks.”
The only thing that perplexes me is I can’t find where either of these two (Colmes or his moonbat source) actually implied that her actions caused the child to have Down Syndrome as some of the commenters have implied. And I am wondering if that is a bit of flying off the handle. But the post is by Colmes is still in bad taste and a poor attempt to portrary Sarah as a bad mother who didn’t care much about her child in my opinion.
