Lone Protester- Seven Years Later
9/13/08
I can remember 9/11 so vividly. I was working on a construction site that day and one of the guys said that a big plane has just crashed into a building in NYC. When the radio announcer said that a second building had been hit, I went home. I got there just in time to watch those two buildings crash down with tears in my eyes and anger in my heart.
I can also remember the next morning on the way to work and telling my employees that one of the first things that would happen is that our borders would be closed off completely. In my years in the military one of the first things that I learned was that national security dictates that if the homeland is attacked, then the homeland is secured. All points of entry are closed. Common sense says this. All people in this country without a legitimate reason to be here should have been expelled in the weeks and months after the towers came down. Our borders should have been so completely secured that not even one person or vehicle could cross without being apprehended. This is the primary responsibility of our federal government, according to the US Constitution. That it will protect each and every state from foreign invasion.
Seven years to the day later, instead of secured borders we get excuses. We get excuses like they are only here to do the jobs that Americans will not do. We get excuses like family values do not stop at the Rio Grande. Government officials, like Homeland Security Director Michael Chertoff actually has the gall to get on nation wide television and offer one excuse after another instead of securing our borders. We actually have congressmen and Senators calling us nativists and bigots and racists for demanding that our borders be secured. All this in a time of war and a massive invasion from foreign countries.
Instead of secured borders we have been transported into the middle of George Orwell’s “1984”. Big Brother knows best and it is up to every patriotic American citizen to close our eyes and let the idiots that know everything be in charge. In 1984, black is white and white is black and if you complain about anything, like secured borders or being over run by 38 million foreigners, then you are a racist and you better shut your mouth. Because if you piss big brother off bad things will happen to you. Forget about the America that I grew up in, this is the new America. This is the America that will secure the borders of Iraq, Afghanistan, South Korea, Western Europe, Japan and the entire South Pacific and the Middle East but refuses to secure it’s own borders.
The US Constitution is there for you to read and study all you want. It is there for American citizens to follow if they see fit. It is there for other countries to adopt as they see fit. It is also there primarily, to guide our government on its responsibilities to America and American citizens. But you have to remember that this is the America of 1984 and the idiots are in charge. If they desire to close other countries borders and not our own then just shut up and not say anything because they have all the power.
Seven years later I have learned to not expect my government to live up to its duty and responsibility to us. Seven years later I have learned not to complain about illegal aliens stealing work from me and millions of other Americans. I have learned that I must not complain to my local sheriff and police because they listen to the idiots in charge instead of American citizens. Therefore they will enforce what laws they choose to enforce and I better not say anything about it. They will allow 38 million invaders to flood our cities, towns and communities and refuse to arrest them and you better not complain because if you do then you are a racist. Do not protest companies employing illegal aliens because the full weight of the law will be brought down upon you. You will be arrested, jailed and prosecuted to the full extent.
So, seven years later, I have come to not expect much from my government. A country that refuses to close its borders to the world is a country in decline. Read the ‘Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire’ by Edward Gibbons. A country that will expend its manpower and treasure to close other nation’s borders but not its own is a country that is dying.
This is not the America that I grew up in. This is not the America that I served so proudly for. This is an America that encourages foreigners to invade us in every way possible. This is an America that encourages it’s businesses to move overseas. This is an America where greed has become rampant, where financial institutions are going bankrupt en masse, but do not worry because the American taxpayer will bail you out, even if you were too greedy.
I have given up on our presidential candidates because they both promote the same thing, change is what counts, instead of the future of America. Both candidates promote amnesty for every illegal invader in this country and to hell with what we want. The American citizen does not matter anymore, except, your vote of course, to continue this once great country down the road to ruin. We do not count, except for our votes. Whichever candidate wins, the American people lose. How is that for the future. You vote for Obama and you lose, you vote for McCain and you lose, you vote for a third party candidate and you lose. Obama says that this election is about bringing 12 million people out of the shadows versus McCain who is the godfather of comprehensive immigrtion reform.
When do American citizens win? I am not talking about the political parties, but us. This country has allowed itself to be so corrupted that we do not know the truth anymore. We cannot see the forest for the trees. We would rather whisper our fears than riot in the streets. We would rather stay silent and go quietly into the night than to offend the idiots in charge. We would rather stay silent about an invasion of 38 millions invaders than demand that our laws be upheld. We would rather stay silent about losing our constitutional rights, jobs, businesses and lives to illegal aliens than to offend anyone. So when do we win?
