Government To Sue Google Over What Crime Exactly?

Do you think that liberty is alive and well in America? Do you think that our elected leaders actually adhere to our Constitution?

Well, if you actually do believe these things then please WAKE UP! Nothing could be further from the truth. And since I am certainly not above rattling the cages of those beasts in Washington, I will proudly continue to speak about the truth. That truth is that America is very much a socialism/communist/Marxist country with just enough liberty sprinkled in to keep the masses believing a delusion.

Washington — The Justice Department has quietly hired one of the nation’s best-known litigators, former Walt Disney Co. vice chairman Sanford Litvack, for a possible antitrust challenge to Google Inc.’s growing power in advertising.

Mr. Litvack’s hiring is the strongest signal yet that the U.S. is preparing to take court action against Google and its search-advertising deal with Yahoo Inc. The two companies combined would account for more than 80% of U.S. online-search ads.

Google shares tumbled 5.5%, or $24.30, to $419.95 in 4 p.m. trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market, while Yahoo shares were up 18 cents to $18.26.

Here we have a prime example of government thugs (some people call them “bureaucrats” and “Congressmen” among other things) manipulating the market and hurting not just a private company but every American invested in that company.

Hmmm. Pardon me while I flip through my United States Constitution and look for where our federal government has the right to sue companies over the market share of a particular industry they control. Let’s see. Not in Article I *flips page* not in Article II *flips page* not in Article III *flips page* uh … not in Article IV *flips page* nothing in Article V *flips page* Article VI is vacant of any such power *flips page* and there is nothing in Article VII.

Now excuse me while I check all the amendments …

*Jeopardy theme plays to amuse readers*

Nope nothing there either. So, if the Constitution is an enumeration of the limited powers of government and there is nothing in the Constitution granting the federal government this power exactly where does this authority come from?

It comes from and American public, 40-50% of which are so clueless that they actually think Barack Obama is a qualified candidate to lead this country, not caring about what our government is doing and how it is breaking their contract with us – WE the people.

Is it good that the Google/Yahoo alliance would control 80% of online advertising dollars? Who knows! But one thing I know for certain is that it is not government’s job to pick winners and losers. And if someone REALLY doesn’t like Google/Yahoo having so much control they can start their own company and provide a better service for a better price and take away market share.

What is next? Are we going to sue Microsoft because Windows is on the vast, vast, vast majority of computer systems in America?

Give me a break! Doesn’t anyone care about liberty and limited government anymore?
