Der Spiegel Ignores Socialism And Blames Capitalism

Germany and much of Europe have been hoping for years that America would falter because they still really want to believe that Marxism, Socialism, Communism, Fascism, etc. are truly the way to go economically. Forget that they’ve tried it over and over only to fail time and again, usually while killing millions in their pursuit.

Der Spiegel is taking up the fight claiming “In fact, it really does look as if the foundations of US capitalism have shattered.”

“US capitalism”? You’ve got to be joking! We’ve got about as much “capitalism” in the United States as Germany had sanity under Adolf Hitler! There is not a single aspect of the United States economy that is actually working under capitalist ideology because every sector, and I do mean every sector, has government interference involved in it.

There is no “capitalism” here. Sure we might have the illusion of “capitalism” but when you have to bow to the government to get licenses to practice your chosen profession, abide by the FDA to bring food to market, file legal papers to start a business, bend over backwards and get an annal exam every year when filing income taxes, etc. from top to bottom government involvement is clear. Government controls every aspect of the American economy and business.

With the financial markets crashing let us ask why. They are crashing because government interfered. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which are just two of the biggest examples, are government entities and engaged in economic practices no sane business would. They issued loans and guaranteed money to people with no reasonable ability to pay that money back. And those two institutions are just the tip of this iceberg. Keep digging and while you will find “private companies” you will also find that all of them have been influenced by the hand of the federal government. They may not have been owned by the state per say, but they were certainly controlled by the state.

No, what has failed is American “socialism”. It is time to stop the insanity. It is time to actually implement capitalism in America. And it is time for those reporting the news, like Der Spiegel, to get their facts straight and stop promoting idiocy such as it was “US capitalism” that failed when nothing could be further from the truth!
