Danbury woman held on $25000 bond for selling fraudulent identity cards

DANBURY — A 43-year old woman is being held on $25,000 bond after selling a fraudulent Resident Alien card and Social Security card to an undercover police officer Friday. Patricia Rodriguez of Franklin Street is being charged with second-degree forgery and trafficking in personal identity information. The Resident Alien card numbers had been previously issued to a naturalized U.S. citizen. According to police, Rodriguez was not in possession of any verifiable identity information and an Immigration Detainer was issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
