EL PASO, Texas - At least two downtown businesses were raided by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents Monday afternoon. ICE agents confiscated merchandise from Joey’s on the 200 block of San Antonio and La Coqueta on the 300 block of El Paso Street. ICE agents said they are investigating the stores for allegedly selling fake designer purses, among other items. Agents told ABC-7 they did not make any arrests because they are still investigating who is responsible for allowing the alleged counterfeit items to be sold at the stores.
