I Could Have Choked Her

I headed to the grocery store during lunch today, parking in my normal area for a good walk in.  On the way to store I got behind three people who had just exited an SUV: a young gal probably in high-school, her boyfriend (I think) and an older woman.  I figured she was the mother to one or both of the younger ones.

Just before walking into the store, the young girl abruptly turned around and told the older woman, “Don’t walk to close to me - I don’t need to be embarrassed.”  The older woman stopped dead in her tracks.  My heart dropped probably has hard as hers did by the expression on her face.  I had to step around her to keep from running her full over.

After getting inside the store, I walked up behind the little witch and said, “You’re rude.”   I caught up to her again in a few minutes and again said, “You’re rude.”  The little twit-face did not acknowledge I said anything.   I never saw her mother again, but if it had been me in her place, I would have gone back to the vehicle and left.

All three of these people were well dressed.  The mother did not have curlers sticking out from under a scarf and dressed in a house coat and slippers.  (I’ve seen these on people going to this store before)

All the way back to work I could envision my hands wrapped around that twit’s neck.  My stomach still gets in knots thinking about how awful that poor woman must have felt at that exact moment.  (shakes head in disbelief).

There went the future of this country.
