I am going to call INS to report an illegal alien but I can see from the blog and from other sites that INS is backlogged for months meaning they will take no action on a report.
My family used to think of illegal aliens in a humanitarian way. Basically that they were in this country out of need and the majority were here to live honestly. We’ve taken a 180 turn on this. My mother out of kindness helped a woman who was illegal by taking her to a doctor because she was severely ill and could not walk. My mother loaned her the money for the doctor’s visit and loaned her money to get back up on her feet. The loan came out to over a $1000.
My mother has asked this woman repeatedly to pay her back since this is a substantial amount and she would not. My mother then went to her place of employment and talked to her boss. He gave my mother the woman’s phone # but said his hands were tied. My mother confronted the woman over the phone. The woman then drove over with a male companion to our home. She pushed my mother and threatened her with a gun. I came out of the house to protect her and was on the cell phone with the police. To my shock when the police showed up at our house they told us they first had to talk to the woman before they could arrest her. The woman made allegations against my mother and the police stated the best thing would be to drop the case because the D.A. would not prosecute. It gets worse, one of the officers made it clear the woman had alleged I had threatened her with deportation and that I knew people. I did not. I was fuming by that point because he made it clear that threats of that sort were not permitted … but pushing my mother and threatening her with a gun were? The officers ended with saying the police had searched her home and they turned up nothing and that she had been instructed to stay away … that was it????!!! How is it possible they are ok with her being illegal and will go so far as defending her??? We are devastated and feel this one should not spend one more day in this country.
