Coast Guard Spots Smuggling Boat Coming Ashore at Imperial Beach

The Coast Guard spotted a smuggling boat off the coast of Imperial Beach early Monday morning. The motorized boat was intercepted as it came ashore with nine undocumented Mexican nationals on board. A Customs and Border Patrol Agent watched as the 19-foot gray panga landed near Sea Coast Drive at about 1:00 Monday morning. He ordered the seven males and two females to stay near the boat.
