MT. PLEASANT—20 Illegal immigrants have pleaded guilty to misusing Social Security accounts.
The investigation started a year ago when authorities discovered a false identity ring that started in Mount Pleasant.
In April almost 300 people were arrested around the country at Pilgrim’s Pride Plants.
The District Attorneys office tells us each of the individuals in this case presented a Social Security account card knowing it was fake.
