Illegal immigrant arraigned after fatal car accident

A man described by police as an illegal immigrant from Mexico living in Lower Paxton Twp. was arraigned Thursday night on charges filed after a crash at Locust Lane and South Arlington Avenue that took the life of an 87-year-old woman. Mararito Jardono, 24, of Locust Grove Court, was driving a Dodge Ram pickup east on Locust Lane at 10:15 a.m. when he drove through a red traffic signal and crashed into the driver’s side door of Cleo Virginia Kint’s Buick Lacrosse, court records state. Kint, no address given, was treated at the scene and taken to nearby Community General Osteopathic Hospital, where she died of injuries suffered in the crash, police said.
