Good Morning everyone!  How was your weekend?  We sat around and did diddly squat - ‘cept watching Dr. Who DVDs.  We are catching up on the new series and are into Season 2 now.

I went to a foot doctor a couple weeks ago and we discovered the reason my feet go to sleep when I walk is because I have a wide foot and an arch that needs some minor support. I’d been wearing normal width shoes and when you walk, your feet expand and mine had no where to go!  New walking shoes and some support for the arch and I’m off walking again.   Roscoe is enjoying it that’s for sure.  Down to the end of our sub-division and back (up some pretty nasty hills mind you) and I’ve done one mile and am pooped.   I know its better for me with my diabetes and hopefully I can get some poundage off and then off these high blood pressure meds.

How is your diabetes control been?   I’m still at an A1C of 6.3 - but feel there are times I’m not in control.  Now that I can walk again, the me being in control is coming back.  Remember - if if your body did betray you, the condition does not control you - you control it.  You.Are.In.Charge!

There are many great news articles out there in the last couple weeks, but here are just a few to wet your appetite:
