Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Saturday he will bring his crime patrols back to Mesa, but next time there won’t be any warnings. Deputies arrested 72 people in Mesa this week in the controversial crime sweep that attracted immigrant rights groups and local police, who kept a watchful eye on the proceedings. The two-day operation, which wrapped up Friday evening, led to the arrests of 28 undocumented immigrants and 21 suspects under warrant, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman said. The warrants ranged from driving on a suspended license to forgery.

On topic and intelligent comments are always welcome as are humorous observations. But liberal talking points with no basis in reality, off topic comments, spam and advertisements are not. Even though you may think you are an intelligent liberal, you probably are not. Keep this in mind as trolling is prohibited and will result in your comments not being approved and comments informing us how much we are a bunch of idiots because you say we are or espousing hate towards the truth are often moved directly to the official “I Hate You/You’re An Idiot” thread. Save us all the time and post there directly if you have a comment that would meet those criteria. Commenters reserve the right to mock claims about how liberal ideas, such as higher taxes, actually work and how conservative and right wingers, are NAZIs, racists, sexists, etc. and will do so with great regularity.
