PAWTUCKET — State troopers who noticed a car weaving on Route 95 on Monday wound up chasing the vehicle and arresting its two Guatemalan occupants, one of whom was under a deportation order and the other an illegal immigrant. The troopers said they spotted the car’s erratic behavior as it approached them around 2 a.m., and pulled to the right to let it pass. It continued to swerve from lane to lane, they said, and when they attempted to halt the car it sped up and the passenger began throwing beer bottles out the window. The car finally entered a dead-end street near the Massachusetts line. The driver fled and was caught after a brief chase.
