Obama Pulls A Clinton

Obama has decided he likes Hillary Clinton’s tactic of fabricating history … or at least embellishing it:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Barack Obama admitted on Tuesday he was wrong to say his uncle helped liberate the Nazis’ Auschwitz concentration camp after Republicans said Soviet troops freed the camp.

Obama’s campaign said the candidate meant to say that his great-uncle, Charlie Payne, had helped liberate a part of the Buchenwald camp, not Auschwitz.

“Yesterday he mistakenly referred to Auschwitz instead of Buchenwald in telling of his personal experience of a soldier in his family who served heroically,” said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton.
Burton said in the statement that Obama’s great uncle served in the 89th Infantry Division that entered Germany in 1945 and on April 4 overran Ohrdruf, a subcamp of the Buchenwald concentration camp.

During the speech, Obama claimed it was his uncle … now it’s his great uncle.

“I had an uncle who was … part of the first American troops to go into Auschwitz and liberate the concentration camps. And the story in our family was is that when he came home, he just went up into the attic and he didn’t leave the house for six months.”

He was talking about how the events of his “uncle’s” return were so clear to him and how he suffered greatly after the war from mental distress. For an event that was so pivotal he seems to have gotten some major facts wrong.

It is also important to note that this great uncle was on his mother’s side … the white side of his family that he has often talked about in the past wanting to distance himself from … the side of his family that he didn’t want to ingratiate himself towards. But apparently he is all about embracing this side of his family when the story fits his motives and the audience he is addressing. But on all other days the white side of his family is something he is ashamed of.

Of course the RNC was quick to point out that it was in fact the Red Army that liberated Auschwitz. But they will just be labeled as racists by Barack supporters for pointing out the truth. Good thing for Barack that at least enough of his story turned out to be mostly true … at least compared to those yarns that Hillary typically spins.

I had two Great-Uncles in Patton’s Third Army in WW2. That is a fact. I also had disant relatives that did not survive places like Buchenwald, Treblinka and Belsen. My good catholic grandmother made sure we didn’t learn alot oabout those who perished. Dad had to find out and now he is gone.
Barack. Hillary. All lies and possibly treason.
