Barack Obama is many things. A student of history, rational and an honest man are not however things that he can claim to be. Speaking about what his foreign policy would be if he were elected President, Obama tried to claim that “tiny” nations pose no threat to the United States:
“Iran, Cuba, Venezuela — these countries are tiny compared to the Soviet Union. They don’t pose a serious threat to us the way the Soviet Union posed a threat to us.” – source
Well, let’s look at some facts about “tiny” nations that have caused great damage over time ok?
Before the Soviet Union threatened freedom around the world, there were the Axis powers that started WWII:
Japan – 145,883 sq mi (attacked United States in WWII)
Germany – 137,847 sq mi (attacked several nations in Europe to start WWII)
Italy – 116,346.5 sq mi (the other major Axis power in WWII)
Ok, so now we have set a size on nations that can actually cause harm.
So what about countries like those Obama mentioned as being too “tiny” to do any harm and cause a threat?
Iran – 636,372 sq mi
Venezuela – 353,841 sq mi
Both of those nations alone are bigger than any two of the major aggressors in WWII combined!
So the question now on the table Barack Obama is do you ever bother to think before you speak? Or are you just content to suffer form diarrhea of the mouth? If the size a country is a means of determining its ability to wage war and threaten the United States then you may want to study history … and also geography.
And they call George Bush an idiot?
