Hold on a Second, Sweetie Barack Obama’s “Sweetie-Gate.”

A glib, regrettable way to talk to a fully-grown woman he’d never met before. And whatever his initial motive (or lack thereof), Obama realized such pretty quickly, and apologized yesterday to the WXYZ reporter via voicemail
“Hi Peggy. This is Barack Obama. I’m calling to apologize on two fronts. One was you didn’t get your question answered and I apologize. I thought that we had set up interviews with all the local stations. I guess we got it with your station but you weren’t the reporter that got the interview. And so, I broke my word. I apologize for that and I will make up for it. Second apology is for using the word ’sweetie.’ That’s a bad habit of mine. I do it sometimes with all kinds of people. I mean no disrespect and I am duly chastened on that front. Feel free to call me back. I expect that my press team will be happy to try to make it up to you whenever we are in Detroit next.”

Clearly Obama isn’t very PC, something most neo-cons will appreciate! By the way, a few years ago we had a candidate in the Netherlands who got annoyed with a female reporter and said “why don’t you focus on cooking instead..?” He later made it up to her by preparing a splendid meal for her.
Anyway, it seems that America may regain some of its lost territory in the next presidency. Both candidates - the Republican included- appear to be able and willing to undo Bush. McCain seems a decent man, intelligent and someone who actually knows what war implies, someone who’s willing to sign Kyoto and work with people like Al Gore and Schwarzenegger for the environment. Obama has a similar set of qualities. Both men seem calm enough for the job. That’s very good news for the US and the world. Welcome back!

The fact that you are praising people for being willing to work with people on a fallacy such as man made global warming discredits anything else you have to say.

As for “undoing Bush”, Obama would certainly do that by coddling terrorist regimes. McCain might be a fool on many issues but he certainly won’t undo much of Bush’s policies on things such as terror.

I think I speak for most people here when I proudly say to Hell with what the socialist international community thinks of the United States.
