Democrats Vote To Restrict Freedom of the Press/Speech

No matter how much lip service Democrats give to claiming they believe in the Constitution, I will always be here to point out what they really believe by addressing what they do. And that goes for the Republicans too.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate Thursday night voted to nullify a Federal Communications Commission rule that allows media companies to own a newspaper and a television station in the same market.
The unusual “resolution of disapproval,” sponsored by Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., and 26 other senators, was approved by a voice vote. The measures sponsors include both Democratic candidates for president, Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Barack Obama of Illinois.
Republican FCC Chairman Kevin Martin has described the agency’s action as a “relatively minor loosening” of broadcast media ownership restrictions. The rule was approved by the FCC on a 3-2 party-line vote in December with both Democrats dissenting.
Let’s see, hmm … first amendment … first amendment … nope, can’t find anything in there that says Congress (or entities they create such as the FCC) has the authority to regulate the ownership of television and newspapers. It does say however that “Congress shall make no law” with regards to such … and that also means that they cannot create a “federal agency” to institute such rules either.
The fact that Clinton and Obama were both co-sponsors of this bill puts them in the category of not qualified for federal office, much less the Presidency, just like McCain is also similarly disqualified because of McCain-Feingold.
Every member of Congress that voted for this bill has committed a high crime again America and our Constitution and should be impeached. Don’t hold your breath though – the liberals in Washington protect their own.
