When I’m Right I’m Right! Sexists Vs. Racists In Democrat Party!

Ever since penning Racism vs. Sexism, a critique of how the racists of the Democrat Party are fighting with the sexists of the Democrat party, we keep getting more evidence that such is indeed true. Gloria Steinem provides the latest:
AUSTIN, Texas—Feminist icon Gloria Steinem took to the stump on Hillary Clinton’s behalf here last night and quickly proved that she has lost none of her taste for provocation. From the stage, the 73-year-old seemed to denigrate the importance of John McCain’s time as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. In an interview with the Observer afterward, she suggested that Barack Obama benefits—and Clinton suffers—because Americans view racism more seriously than sexism.
Steinem also told the crowd that one reason to back Clinton was because “she actually enjoys conflict.”
Wah! Can’t you just see people as people instead of belonging to a group? Of course that would cause the liberals and Democrats to have to rethink their entire plan for power.
But, as this lead in also suggested, she attacked John McCain’s POW status:
“Suppose John McCain had been Joan McCain and Joan McCain had got captured, shot down and been a POW for eight years. [The media would ask], ‘What did you do wrong to get captured? What terrible things did you do while you were there as a captive for eight years?’” Steinem said, to laughter from the audience.McCain was, in fact, a prisoner of war for around five-and-a-half years, during which time he was tortured repeatedly. Referring to his time in captivity, Steinem said with bewilderment, “I mean, hello? This is supposed to be a qualification to be president? I don’t think so.”
Excuse me Comrade Steinem. I may not like John McCain. I may think that he would be a horrible choice for President. But if there is one thing I will do is defend him against mindless twats like you. This man suffered so that you could burn your bra and protest. This man was tortured while your fellow travelers worked to help the Communists overrun Vietnam.
Being a former POW is not what he is running on. It’s not like John Kerry in ’04 who was basically running around the country saying, “I served in Vietnam,” “I served in Vietnam,” “I served in Vietnam,” “I served in Vietnam,” “I served in Vietnam,” over and over again.
If I had a choice I’d certainly much more prefer a former POW than some whiny yet supposedly strong, woman who couldn’t even control her own husband or an empty suit who has the vocabulary of a political parrot. “Rahhh – change! Change! Change! Rahhh! Obama wanna cracker!”
