US TAKES CHINA OFF HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION LIST?

That’s correct.

China, preparing for the Olympic Games this summer, has been sliced off the US State Department’s list of top human rights violators.

Is this politically correctness gone immoral or what?

Everybody knows that China hatchets its own, Christians in particular. This has been going on for decades. China is at the front of the line.

The Washington Times’ Nicholas Kralev reports that “Department officials insisted that China’s absence from this year’s list, which includes Iran, North Korea, Cuba and Burma among others, is not linked to the Olympics and has little meaning overall, because the list is informal with no legal consequences.”

Bosh.

Human rights activists know otherwise. In other words, they know the facts—the truth. All of a sudden China makes a switch to being nice? Not on your life—literally interpreted.

Why does the Bush administration do this sort of underhanded thing when claiming to be on the side of ethics?

“’It’s extremely unfortunate that the Bush administration has adopted a softer line towards China,’ said T. Kumar, advocacy director for Asia at Amnesty International.

“’The timing is also disturbing — President Bush is going to the Olympics, and the administration doesn’t want to put China in an awkward position. It’s a lost opportunity to send a strong message.’”

That’s it in a nasty nutshell. Shame on the administration.

China has been at the very top of the inhumane list. Just because it has made economic gains does not mean that it has cleaned up its blood-letting factories.

The Bush administration seems to be so enamored by China’s economic pluses that it’s willing to slide under the rug the horrific scenes going on daily in China.

Kissing up to China for economics does not add up to be a decent move.

Well, China owns America now. If they want to be taken off our “Worst Human Rights Abuser’s” list, we have to do what they say. Thank you George W Bush.
