THIEF REP TREASURER WARD = ‘ONE OF LARGEST FRAUDS IN HISTORY’

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

His name: Christopher J. Ward.

His position: former treasurer for the National Republican Congressional Committee

His alleged crime: stealing hundreds of thousands for his own pocket.

His friends: people who trusted him but now are no longer his friends. In other words, he has no friends.

The Washington Post’s Paul Kane spilled out the data: Ward used to be the money keeper for the Reps. Now he’s their Judas.

He put into his personal accounts much dough.

GOP says it could end up to be “one of the largest political frauds in recent history.” So goes Rep Party loyalty / morality. The GOP is going to have to answer on this one. Big time. And the Dems will relish every agonizing moment.

Ward wired transfers out of NRCC into accounts only he had access to.

His sentence: could be up to 30 years in the Big House plus millions in fines.
