SPITZ RESIGNS. PROMISES SUPPORT FOR HIS CAUSES

Grant Swank | March 12, 2008

Eliot Spitzer, former NY Gov as of this coming Monday morning, says he will continue to support his causes.

What causes? Phoning brothels? Could be. Addictions don’t die easily. Not so. Ask Bill Clinton, etc. Ask Jimmy Swaggart, etc. Ask Jim Bakker, etc.

One cause will definitely be his support for killing womb babies. Planned Parenthood and colleagues in abortuaries will see to that.

Now with evil circling his soul and now made public, one wonders what kind of prayers Spitz wants us to offer on his behalf.

He asked for our prayers.

First, my prayers have been for his wife and daughters. They need prayers and then some more prayers.

Second, I pray for Spitz to genuinely repent of his sins—plural with specific attention to call girls—and then to commit to follow Jesus’ way till he dies.

Third, I pray Spitz will testify to saving grace and then go on with a decent life supported by biblical morality.

That’s it. Those prayers will cover a host of other issues.

One more time ethics bobs to the top in public life. Don’t say there’s no place for religion in public life. Religion is at the core of everything—either the religion of the devils or the eternal verities of the Bible.

The mortal is formed to be religious. We are made in the image of God. That’s a given. Therefore, collections of mortals will always express one religious stance or another—for heaven or hell.

Spitz now confesses. He asks for prayers. He promises to live a better life.

All of that has to do with religion. Which religious base has yet to be revealed. Time will tell.
