Obama Never Listened To His Spiritual Advisor?

Would you be at all surprised if that was true? For a while anyone that has been paying attention has known about the racially charged and off kilter sermons of Barack Obama’s pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. And now, finally, Obama’s campaign has rid themselves of this man as the heat was simply getting too hot to handle.
Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., condemned racially charged sermons by his former pastor Friday and urged Americans not to reject his presidential campaign because of “guilt by association.”Obama’s campaign announced that the minister, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., had left its spiritual advisory committee after videotapes of his sermons again ignited fierce debate in news accounts and political blogs.
Obama did not clarify whether Wright volunteered to leave his African American Religious Leadership Committee, a loose group of supporters associated with the campaign, or whether the campaign asked him to leave.
I’d bet on the latter.
Obama is decrying the bringing to light of exactly what Mr. Wright has said and his association with the man as an attempt at “guilt by association”. I would like to remind Mr. Obama that this is not some poor schulb that you happened to meet once or twice and might have been hanging around. Nor was it such as in the case of Ron Paul where assorting wacko white supremisists were simply donating money to his campaign because they thought they might have a friend.
No Barack, this was your pastor - your spiritual advisor. This was a man you chose to associate with and even continued to associate with after it came to light many months ago what he had said many times and over and over. This was a many that, if your church is a normal church, you and the congregation look to, that you confide in and that you seek advice from.
Your relationship is far from “guilt by association”. It is most likely guilt by similar beliefs. Why else would you continue to go to this man’s church? What, did you need some street cred or something?

On topic and intelligent comments are always welcome as are humorous observations. But liberal talking points with no basis in reality, off topic comments, spam and advertisements are not. Even though you may think you are an intelligent liberal, you probably are not. Keep this in mind as trolling is prohibited and will result in your comments not being approved and comments informing us how much we are a bunch of idiots because you say we are or espousing hate towards the truth are often moved directly to the official “I Hate You/You’re An Idiot” thread.
