“In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans … have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging,” he laments. “I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
That is what Barack Obama wrote in his book, “Audacity.”
Now you can be sure that when Obama is in the White House, something “ugly” will occur to offend the nation’s “Arab and Pakistani Americans”—in other words, Muslims.
So whose side will Obama then take?
He will side with the Muslims per his own public statement in his book. There is no question. It is right there.
That is not the closet Muslim which he’s been. That’s the out-in-the-open Muslim hinted about even present-tense.
“I will stand with them. . .”
That is why he stands with them in the pro-Islam sanctuary called Trinity United Church of Christ. That’s why Obama embraces Jeremiah Wright’s pro-Muslim crowning of Nation of Islam Louis Farrakhan.
That’s why Obama, with his Muslim childhood schooling, endorses the mosque-cleric-like angry yelling of Wright’s pulpit delivery.
That’s why Obama states in “Audacity” that Judeo-Christian heritage will recede as an all-religions country emerges. Obviously, from his siding with Muslims, Muslims in particular will have the upper hand in the new America.
It is scary to read just that one paragraph in his book about siding with the Muslims if matters turn “ugly.”
One can be certain that Muslims reading that paragraph will see to it that some offense will strike their sensitivities once The Boy sits in the Oval Office. Their squeals will trigger their discontent thereby triggering Obama the Muslim to spring forth.
Muslim Obama has already given us warning in his book. If we are too stupid to get it, then we are going to suffer the consequences of not being informed.

Well, this is the sloppiest bit of swift-boating on record; if one reads the full quote, you get the feeling that Grant Swank isn’t a fan of our Constitutionally guaranteed civil liberties. The Full quote,without cuts or those pesky ellipsis:

They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
Nothing sinister here except the declaration of an elected official to fight the singling out of particular groups for political harassment or worse based solely on skin color or their religious beliefs. These freedoms are bedrock in the American political philosophy , and they are authentic only if we live up to the words we espouse. Obama’s stance to go against those who have us panic and usurp the Bill of Rights for short-term satisfacation and side with those who would be the unfair of unfair and illegal scrutiny makes him a patriot. He stands against the erosion of personal liberty, something conservatives and liberals alike should agree on.Those who cannot get that clear idea through their head and continue to imply that Obama is a danger are, in truth, liars and have an agenda that is contrary to the interests of the American people.

For the record “swift-boating” was a term applied to men who were telling the truth about John Kerry.

For the record we are still to this day looking for this supposedly rampant “detention” and “questioning” and “hard stares from neighbors” that were supposed to have happened.

This is a joke right? You do realize that Obama has proposed things like the confiscation of private property (money, wealth, land) for the betterment of others that have not earned it right? Talk about lies! I am not sure who is the bigger loon; Mr. Swank (who FYI was banned from posting on this site) or you (with your lies about what Obama stands for).

How about a direct quote from Obama, an actual policy statement, something in writing where he proposes the confiscation of private property? What is your source for this? I doubt you have one.

Really Ted? They have a whole book that was published. Might want to read it. Pretty clear record.
As for your article from WIkipedia it is a typical Wikipedia whitewash job. Take this for example:

Then tries to claim that this is not entire accurate:

In other words, yes, the claim is true but how can we obfuscate the truth to make it less true.

This site is not as dim witted as Daily KOS or other sites you frequent, nor are lies like this appreciated. Barack Obama himself (and this is just one example) has recently proclaimed that he wants to confiscate the profits (property) of the oil companies (private industry) for the use of others to the tune of $1,000

Sure is pathetic when the Obama disciples lie isn’t it LP? Obama is even running ads telling everyone he wants to confiscate private property for handouts to other people and Mr. Burke still thinks that he has some Jedi Mind Trick powers that will convince people that that it really was never proposed.
But that is always how liberals operate.
Simple question for one of these liberals that keep coming around and making accusations that “Swift Boating” means lying. IF the SBVFT were lying about John Kerry wouldn’t that be slander and libel? And IF they were slandering and libeling him wouldn’t he have a legitimate court case to sue them?
I know the standards of what you can and cannot say about elected officials is often lower but slander and libel are still slander and libel and prosecutable offenses. So why didn’t he sue them. I recall hearing him threatening to do so but to the best of my knowledge never did and if he did he obviously lost because the SBVFT still make the same charges today.
It’s easy to say people are lying about them. And liberals do it all the time. But when it comes time to put up or shut up they never carry through and prove it in a court of law. What discovery are they worried about? Or are they just worried that they will loose and then it will be official that they are scum?
LP, you are assuming that liberals understand that the oil companies are private entities not held in the public trust. They assume no such thing and believe them to be public (state) entities because they are publicly traded. That is how people like Mr. Burke come to the wrong conclusion that Obama never proposed confiscating private property and advance their own socialist agenda.
Oh no, Barack Obama isn’t a socialist who wants to enact Marxist policies. He just has associated himself with such people and his campaign site is infested with them because they like what he is saying. But he’s not out to trample individual rights right?
Last month IBD ran through a list of Obama’s proposals including:

• “Universal,” “guaranteed” health care.
• “Free” college tuition.
• “Universal national service” (a la Havana).
• “Universal 401(k)s” (in which the government would match contributions made by “low- and moderate-income families”).
• “Free” job training (even for criminals).

• A fatter earned income tax credit for “working poor.”
• And even a Global Poverty Act that amounts to a Marshall Plan for the Third World, first and foremost Africa.”
Now how on earth are you going to “pay” for all this “free” stuff? Since money doesn’t grow on trees you have to take it from someone that earned it. Unless you think that one’s money is not their private property it is the only way you can think he has not proposed such. And if you think that one’s earnings are not their private property then I expect to see you donate every dime you make to the State for it’s glory to be advanced.
If you want to post your tax returns we’ll be happy to see if you have been keeping private any money you believe should be public and find out that you are a hypocrite.
