The bipartisan U.S. / Mexico Border Counties Coalition, in partnership with the University of Arizona and San Diego State University, will release a statistical study showing the true cost of illegal immigration within the criminal justice system of America’s 24 counties bordering Mexico. These counties within California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas have spent well in excess of one billion dollars in less than a decade to respond to the federal government’s failure to secure the nation’s border.
