The Elgin Gang Crimes Unit has arrested a man wanted in a Feb. 15 shooting incident in the 400 block of Addison in which gunfire damage was found on the home’s front door. Jose L. Herrera, 21, was arrested in West Chicago and charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlaful use of a weapon. He is being held on a $500,000 bond and awaiting a Monday bond hearing. He is also being detained for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
