IF A WHITE PREACHER EVER DAMNED AMERICA. . .

If a white preacher in America ever yelled from his pulpit “Not God bless America but God damn America.” he’d be fried.

If he kept repeating it from his pulpit, he’d be triple fried.

If he ever blamed blacks for this-and-that that was ruining the nation, he’d not live till sundown.

Yet that’s what Jeremiah Wright did and by some he’s treated as simply another “black preacher doing what blacks do when they get into the pulpit. You white people just don’t understand that’s the way black religion is.”

Oh really.

Well, there are those black ministers throughout the nation who are totally embarrassed by the way Wright has got by with such despicable behavior in the name of “Christian preaching.”

The truth is that it’s not the “black way” of religion. It’s Wright’s pro-Islamic link and conceit that boasts on “black liberation theology.” He’s popularized that heresy by delivering addresses accenting it. He’s preached it here and there where other low-brow racist blacks have invited him to their lecterns.

And that makes him an intellectual? Not so. That makes him out to be an egocentric who does not deserve the title “Christian pastor.”

It’s numbing to me to watch TV news programs continue with such courtesies in treating Wright. On the other hand, that may be a compliment in that manners have not been completely forgotten in America.

But if the man were a construction worker or computer expert or file clerk spewing forth such venom, then gathering a following of several thousand weekly, he’d be scorned by every decent person in the media.

No white preacher could get by for 24-hours with the vulgarity and cutting-up-Americans that Wright gets by with.
