Time to Kick Out the ‘Riffraff,’ Town Councilor Says

(CNSNews.com) – The Merrimack, N.H., Town Council this week will consider banning out-of-towners from a local beach. “It’s time we kick the riffraff out of here,” said Councilor David McCray, who plans to propose the ban at Thursday’s meeting, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported. The proposal follows last summer’s controversy over posting signs in Spanish at the beach. The town council unanimously directed the town manager not to install signs in any language other than English. Other town councilors reportedly favor charging admission to out-of-towners who want to visit the beach.
