DENVER (AP) - Republican congressman and former presidential candidate Tom Tancredo is accusing visiting Mexican President Felipe Calderon of meddling in U.S. affairs, telling him he should focus on his country’s own problems instead of “encouraging illegal immigration.” Tancredo made his comments yesterday in a letter sent to the Mexican Embassy, responding to remarks that Calderon made to the California Legislature on Wednesday. Calderon said Mexico and the United States “will never find prosperity by closing their doors.”
