Suspected immigrant smugglers leapt from a moving vehicle during Tuesday morning rush hour in Benson, a Border Patrol spokesman said. An agent was attempting to pull over a sport utility vehicle about 7 a.m. when two men jumped from the vehicle and escaped, Supervisory Agent Chuy Rodriguez said. One of them was the driver, he said, adding that the vehicle safely rolled to a stop. Five men and a woman, all from Mexico, were found inside the SUV, he said. They were not injured and returned voluntarily to Mexico.
