(AP) - Immigration agents say six people have been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to smuggle illegal immigrants across the U.S.-Mexico border in elaborate compartments built into pickup trucks and sports utility vehicles.

Edgar “Chucky” Eduardo Aceves, Claudia Aceves, their father Eduardo Aceves-Murillo and three others were arrested Thursday.

They are accused of operating a ring that brought people into the country at least 25 times in 2005 and 2006.

Officials say immigrants were hidden in audio speaker boxes and secret compartments crafted at Chucky’s Body Shop and Aceves Upholstery in Oxnard.
