Senator McCain Continues to Burn Bridges

One of Senator John McCain’s biggest problems is that he has no idea who his friends are or, more correctly, who his friends could be.  And because of that he will keep struggling to find friends and will keep running to liberals for comfort:

CINCINNATI, Ohio (CNN) — A conservative radio talk-show host said that “he’s had it up to here” with Sen. John McCain after the GOP presidential candidate repudiated the commentator’s remarks about Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama at a campaign event.Commentator Bill Cunningham comes under fire over remarks about Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

“John McCain threw me under a bus — under the ‘Straight Talk Express,’ ” Bill Cunningham told CNN on Tuesday, referring to McCain’s campaign bus.

Earlier Tuesday, Cunningham spoke at a McCain campaign event in Cincinnati and called Obama a “hack, Chicago-style Daley politician.”

“All is going to be right with the world when the great prophet from Chicago takes the stand, and the world leaders who want to kill us will simply be singing ‘Kumbaya’ around the table of Barack Obama,” the commentator told the crowd.

Cunningham, known for his flame-throwing style, repeatedly used Obama’s middle name — Hussein — during his remarks, made as a warm-up for the audience waiting to hear McCain speak.

In his first public comment since Tuesday’s event, Cunningham defended his use of Hussein, which he called “a proud Muslim name.”

“I have nothing but respect for my Muslim brothers and sisters,” he said. “The ones who oppose that particular name, they’re the ones with the problem, not me. His name is Barack Hussein Obama.”

For all the talk of how strong of a leader McCain is, we keep seeing him pack peddle from actually being … well … strong. He seems more interested in not offending liberals and playing nice with them than anything else.

Cunningham said after McCain played passive and meek on stage and denounced the comments, “I, for one, regret that John McCain is the nominee of the conservative party”. Tell ya what, lots of people feel that way. And McCain doesn’t seem to care. Which might ultimately result in the “Straight Talk Express” (which is hardly such) being broken down on the roadside somewhere come November. But that’s what you get when you wipe your rear with the Constitution Mr. McCain.

You might win in November without conservative support. But that will not be something to be proud of. Having liberals vote for you because you think you’ll do a good job? Yeah, that’s uh not a good sign.

Its the man’s name — why do we have to apologize for using someone’s name? You know Barack H. Obama is laughing is backside off as we try not to offend the muslim in him.

It’s odd how sensitive some people can be to this issue. And by some people I really mean raving moonbats considering we’ve been using the middle names of presidents for years. Franklin Deleanor Roosevelt, Lyndon Baines Johnson, Ronald Wilson Reagan, George Herbert Walker Bush, William Jefferson Clinton, George Walker Bush ….

But we can’t use Barack’s middle name? Why? Because they are so taken aback by it being Hussein and similar to an evil tyrant who, if Obama had his way, would still be torturing people and oppressing women? That’s the only reason I can come up with. I thought the liberals hated that sort of stuff?
