Hello all,

The Mexican Consulate has created a mobile team (with the help of the UNICO
Foundation) to visit local communities in order to increase the
accessibility to consular services, specifcally the issuance of consular
identification cards (matriculas consulares).

These matriculas will helpful to provide residents with an official form of
identification for public safety purposes (e.g. if the police ask for ID or
when signing into government buildings), open bank accounts, as well as
access other library and other public services.

The consulate will be at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant (2850
Fairview Rd.) on Saturday, March 31, however, interested parties will need
to schedule and appointment before the day of the event. These appointment
times will be assigned by an affiliate of the consulate at St. John the
Baptist for the following 2 weekends (March 17, 18, 24, 25).

I have attached a flyer (as a Word document), so please feel free to copy
and distribute them as you see fit.

Thank you for your work and dedication to the community,
Ryan

The Mexican Consulate will be at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 2850
Fairview Rd., Costa Mesa – Saturday, March 31 to issue Mexican Matricula Consular IDs, by appointment from 9am – 2:30pm.

The Minuteman Project and concerned citizens will stage a peaceful, sidewalk rally to protest:

1.
The Mexican Consulate – mobilizing at a church site to issue Matricula Consular ID, potentially to illegal aliens

2.
The Presbyterian Church – for providing a facility for a foreign government to issue identification, potentially to illegal aliens – (Shouldn’t this church lose its tax free status for entering into political realms – which could include lawbreaking/illegal immigration?)
