McCainiacs Flood In The Hate Mail

J.J. Jackson* | February 19, 2008

Do I know how to push the right buttons or what? The truth hurts and the McCainiacs are not taking too kindly to my article last week (This is My Hill) in which I restate again that I am not about to go back on my word and endorse or vote for a man that I believe would do just as much to ruin this republic as either Hillary or Barack. And boy oh boy are they making bad assumptions and just generally firing off the same old talking points.

So let’s begin:

Terry the McCainiac writes:

Come on! You are seriously telling me that you are not going to vote in November? Just because you disagree with McCain on a couple of issues? What a jackass you are!

Terry,

First of all, I never said that I was not voting in November. Trust me, I will vote. I am just not voting for McCain. And no, I’m not voting for the Democrat nominee either. As for there being just “a couple of issues” on which I disagree with McCain on, call me crazy, but the first and second amendments alone are pretty important in my mind. And they are far from the only issues. Try the Gang of 14, his Global Warming hysteria, unwillingness to let Americans develop their own sources of energy, amnesty for illegals as just a start and by no means an exhaustive list.

Angela the McCainiac writes:

The man’s a conservative! He’ll appoint conservative justices! You can’t be serious! We don’t need another 8 years of liberals putting baby murdering justices on the Supreme Court.

Angela,

History tells a different story of Mr. McCain whom you are apparently supporting based on a false perception. By whose definition of “conservative” are you basing this on? I base it on the one John McCain has established which is that he will appoint judges willing to uphold usurpation of the Constitution. Hardly “conservative”.

Paul the McCainiac writes:

You have to support John McCain because he is the only candidate serious about the War on Terror.

Paul,

Yeah, he’s so serious that he whines like a liberal about water boarding terrorists.

Angela the McCainiac writes:

McCain is a war hero and I can’t believe that you won’t give him the respect that he deserves!

Angela,

So now we are down to using the John Kerry election mantra of “he served in Vietnam”? Do you actually have a real reason to vote for him?

Eddie the McCainiac writes:

Get with it man! Stop throwing a piss fit and do what is right and vote for McCain!

Eddie,

Do you know for how many months I have been warning people who are Republican first and not conservative first that I wouldn’t vote for McCain if the party nominated him? It’s been months.  Long before the first primary vote was cast. And what did the “Republicans” do? They nominated him anyway.

Hey, I gave the GOP and those that are Republicans first, like you, fair warning. You ignored it. Now you have to deal with it.

The only people “throwing a piss fit” are people such as yourself who want me to go back on my word and that are learning that I will not.

Quincy the McCainiac offers a bribe:

How about if we put Thompson or Romney on the ticket with McCain who you hate so much? Then will you get off your fucking high horse and do what is best for the country?

Quincy,

Considering that it would mean I would have to vote for McCain and break my word? Hmm. Let me think. How about no. Not my fault you ignored myself and many other conservatives who warned you and warned you about how we thought about a McCain nomination. Now the chickens are coming home to roost and they are pecking your eyes out.

Jim the McCainiac writes:

Gee, I guess you are just some sort of sick son of a bitch who doesn’t really give a rip about America if you are going to hand the election to Hillary and not vote for McCain!

Jim,

On the contrary, I care so much about America that I am willing to suffer in order to make things better. In the early days of our so to be Republic while Americans were still battling for independence there were a lot of people in this country that were willing to suffer to better their lot.

But today there aren’t nearly enough. People such as yourself are those that will continue to suffer tyranny because you consider it to still be a sufferable tyranny. I do not have such a view.

Heather insanely writes:

My God you Paulistinians are a pathetic lot. Just because Ron Paul loses you are willing to throw the whole damn country under the bus!

Heather,

If ignorance is bliss then you are certainly euphoric. You might want to actually read what I have written in the past. Especially on my blog. If you would research your ill informed and ignorant opinion you would know that there are in fact two candidates I warned Republicans I would not support if they were given the nomination. One was John McCain. The other was Ron Paul.

Now stop drooling like a maniac and get informed.

Blanch the McCainiac bloviates:

You need to stop telling conservatives not to vote for John McCain! If he loses it will because people like you told people not to vote for him!

Blanch,

I have only said that I will not vote for McCain. I have not told others that they should not. People have to make their own choices so don’t blame me if people decide that McCain is just too unbearable to receive their vote.

It’s good to see that the talking points of John McCain’s supporters are already being circulated.

Here’s what everything boils down to; that we have to vote for McCain because he isn’t as liberal as Obama or Hillary.

    Wow! What a reason!
