MCCAIN’S LOSS AT DISSING HUCKABEE AS VP

John McCain says he will diss Mike Huckabee.
Why?
It could be that Mike Huckabee is a genuine values candidate because of his biblical convictions.
John McCain gives no real indication that his personal moral base is wrapped up in biblical convictions. That means McCain may at times be a moral relativist while Huckabee is a moral absolutist.
That difference could bring tension between the two at some juncture—or numerous junctures.
McCain is a typical political opportunist. That applies to his morals as well as other dimensions. Huckabee is bound by divine revelation not to be a political opportunist when it comes to ethics.
That difference could yield a cleavage between the two from time to time—or too many times.
Further, Huckabee is up front with God and media regarding his ethics. McCain plays it “by the political winds” regarding his ethics. In addition, Huckabee is a master wordsmith in defining his ethics. McCain is not.
Huckabee knows how to deliver speeches with color and at the same time depth. McCain struggles at speech deliveries, not as smooth and gripping. McCain stumbles. He lacks luster.
In short, Huckabee could outshine McCain in public appearances. McCain knows that. McCain obviously does not relish that.
But McCain sidestepping Huckabee is going to be for McCain a major misstep. The media has already learned that countless numbers of Republicans are not satisfied with McCain’s conservative sincerity.
Further, scores want Huckabee as President and they are not backing down. This will cause a certain drag in the Republican dream for the white House, in other words, aiding The Boy’s rush to the Oval Office.
In order for McCain to hope to get anywhere in November, he’s got to choose someone as conservative as Huckabee, one having no more charisma than McCain and no more speech delivery acumen than McCain.
That means picking a Republican who is personality-flat, speech-delivery deficient and laden with question marks over his “conservative” head.
Good luck, McCain.
