Liberal Schwarzenegger Endorses Liberal McCain?
J.J. Jackson | February 1, 2008
Is anyone surprised that RINO Ahhhnold endorsed RINO McCain? Not me, that’s for certain. A few days ago it was just speculation:
“I enjoy him because he also, of course, is someone who’s working on the environment and believes strongly that you can have a strong economy and good environment,” said Gov. Schwarzenegger.
The Governor’s aides say Schwarzenegger has met with Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney about their candidacy.
But two days ago it became official:
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Thursday morning that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s departure from the presidential race led to his endorsement of Arizona Sen. John McCain, who he called a “fantastic, outstanding public servant.”After touring a solar plant with both men Thursday, Schwarzenegger said McCain “has proven over and over again that he is reaching across the aisle in order to get things done” and “has incredible credentials on national security.”
“He is a great American hero and an extraordinary leader,” Schwarzenegger added about the one-time fighter pilot who was downed in North Vietnam and spent years as a prisoner of war.
Ya know, John McCain and his supporters seem to be trying the same tactic John Kerry did in 2004 and remind everyone constantly that he served in Vietnam. In fact, it was stated so often that it became really the only reason given that people should vote for him. But like any conservative really cares what Ahhhnold thinks.
